Role Purpose:
Responsible for day to day processing of General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Insurance, Inventories, Revenue Accounting, Taxation, Payables and Payroll transactions, maintaining proper financial records, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all transaction postings, reconciling and preparing balance sheet schedules that support the underlying ledger account reconciliations, in accordance and in compliance with all applicable accounting standards, tax legislation and regulations. This position will execute their transaction postings and account reconciliations activities following the already designed and implemented accounting internal controls, policies, processes and procedures, to enable the generation and preparation of accurate, reliable and supported monthly profit and loss account, and the balance sheet as at the reporting date.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the revenue accounting process by ensuring coordination and analysis of billing inputs for all services and the eventual postings to the accounting systems.
• Ensure proper accounting of all revenues billed with relevant accompanying taxes.
• Provide and accrue for any revenues not billed at month end to ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
• Analyze revenue trends and movements on a monthly basis and ensure that all revenues reported are duly supported by contracts or SOFs.
• Avoid adverse audit findings by ensuring compliance with legislation, appropriate accounting standards and company policies and procedures
• Review and develop appropriate changes to business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Generate invoices for services that are not on the billing platform ensuring applicable taxes are applied and the same posted to accounting system.
Academic background & Professional Knowledge:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Certified Accountant – CPA(K) or ACCA
• Member of ICPAK
• 2 - 5 years’ experience in the Finance function of a reputable company

• Detailed knowledge of IAS / IFRS and their application in the Telecommunications space
• Financial planning and reporting
• Financial systems knowledge, including advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting applications
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Great attention to detail.
• Excellent people manager with good influencing skills.
• Financial monitoring and analysis
