Job Title

Accountant

Reports to

Chief Executive Officer

 Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing accounts, computing taxes and preparing tax returns,
• Monitoring spending and budgets,
• Auditing and analysing financial performance,
• Maintaining the company payroll and all statutory requirements,
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis,
• Advising on cost reduction and enhanced profitability measures,
• Compiling and presenting financial and budget reports,
• Ensuring that financial statements and records comply with laws, policies and regulations,

·         Keeping account books and systems up to date,

• Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements,
• Reporting on the company’s financial health and liquidity,
• Reinforcing financial data confidentiality and conducting database backups when necessary,
• Any other responsibilities delegated by the management.

3.  Job Requirements:

·         Minimum of three (3) years’ work experience a similar role,

·         BCom in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree,

·         Additional certification such as CPA or ACCA will be an added advantage,

·         Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),

·         Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks,

·         Advanced MS Excel skills,

·         Should have enhanced numerical and quantitative skills,

·         Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail,

·         Good time management and organisation,

·         Should possess strong computer skills,

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.
