Accounting Officer- Credit Control

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

a) Processing of credit applications, credit enhancement forms and related supporting documents

b) Ensure all customer receipts including withholding vat certificates received are posted to the correct accounts

c) Ensure reconciliations of receipts to invoices are done correctly and regularly

d) Addressing and responding to any debtor related queries

e) Follow up on overdue debts in liaison with sales representatives

f) Overseeing the posting of receipts from customers

g) Carry out reconciliations of the receipt collection accounts

h) Periodic review of new customer accounts created to ensure accuracy of data and correct classification of customers

i) Generating and compiling of various reports required by management related to credit control

j) Periodic review of any unutilized credit balances in the customer accounts

k) Assist in budget preparation

l) Ensure document management and archiving of both physical and soft documents / records.

m) Any other duties as may be specified from time to time falling within the scope of the finance team as a whole

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE

a) ACCA / CPA or an equivalent qualification

b) Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience with exposure to accounts receivables

c) Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel

d) Working knowledge of SAP HANA will be an added advantage

e) Strong reconciliation and controls review skills will be an added advantage
