Job Description/Requirements
Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); End violent conflict. It’s our purpose — our call to action. Instead of tearing down an existing world, we focus on constructing a new one. We do this through a type of peacebuilding called conflict transformation. Meaning: we look to change the everyday interactions between groups of people in conflict, so they can work together to build up their community, choosing joint problem-solving over violence. Our mission is to transform the way the world deals with conflict, away from adversarial approaches, toward cooperative solutions. OUR VISION Our ability to deal with conflict affects how we handle every issue humanity is facing. Whether global in nature, such as poverty, hunger or the environment, or closer to home, such as family or community relations, we face daily challenges to our abilities to deal with conflict constructively. So, our vision is of a world where: Differences stimulate social progress, rather than precipitate violence. Respect for and cooperation with those we disagree with is considered the norm for individuals, communities, organizations, and nations.Work with the Finance and Administration Department to; Supports in logistics for organization of meetings, field activities, venues and accommodationInitiate purchase requestSupports in photocopying, scanning and filingGetting quotes for various procurement as requiredPrepare bid analysis as requiredIssue stationery to staffConfirm stock taking for office supplies and initiate requests for replenishmentConduct watchlist for suppliers, consultants, participantsRemit statutory paymentsEnsure cleanliness of the officeRun office errandsSupports in Pre-audit assessmentSupports in filling withholding tax for consultant paymentsFollow-up on submission of original documents from Program & DME TeamAny other assignment as may be delegated Deliverables Adequately documented procurement documentationTimely confirmation of logistics as requiredAdequate office & kitchen supplies at all timesTimely submission of suppliers invoices to financeTimely booking Internship Terms For the purpose of the internship in Kenya the intern will be supervised by the Finance and Administration Manager, who will be responsible for setting tasks and evaluating the intern’s work. The work objectives below will be undertaken by the intern on the basis of 5 working days per week, for 3 months, with any days off agreed in advance with the supervisor. The internship may be terminated by either side by informing the other in writing.Required to have a laptop Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Business Management/FinanceDynamic, motivated and flexible self¬starter leader with creative problem¬-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteCultural sensitivity.Spoken and written fluency in English and Swahili.
