Job Summary

The Aftermarket Sales Engineer's role is to manage the sales of parts, service and service contracts to new and existing customers and to provide technical and non-technical in-field support to the end users.

Job Description/Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

 

·       Manage the sales of parts, service and customer annual service / maintenance contracts for Cummins generators

·       Develop & install parts and service marketing activities, go to market strategies and customer support package for each new installation. This includes recommended parts stocking and annual service contracts

·       Manage and advise on the provision of credit facilities for new and existing customers and monitor the collection of receivables for parts and service

·       To provide accurate monthly and quarterly forecast of parts and labour sales.

·       Monitors market and adapt strategies for business development.

·       Build and nurture relationships with existing and new customers to generate leads and repeat business.

·       Building capabilities for dealers’ service engineers and deploying them for revenue generation through AMCs, Services and Spares

·       Ensuring proactive service calls for generating revenue from service, AMC and spares

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

·       Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in sale of generators with excellent customer service. 

·       Must have full technical knowledge of generators from 15 KVA to 500KVA.

  • Good marketing skills and a general knowledge of sales techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft office specifically excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exposure of SAP ERP Module
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be available to travel as needed.

  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
  • Planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced time management skills
