Mission To facilitate member health units in their provision of quality healthcare services through advocacy, health systems strengthening, networking and innovative health programme CHAK Guest House & Conference Centre, a constituent of Christian Health Association of Kenya is looking to hire an ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT. The assistant accountant will support the Guest House in financial and storekeeping processes. The role holder is expected to ensure accurate record keeping and monitoring of different costs centres to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in utilization of Guest house resources.Key duties and responsibilities Control stores activities of receiving and issuing of goods ( in flows storage and out flows goods)Prepare LPOS and check accuracy against the quotations received and forward to the manager for approval. Communicate to suppliers on all approved LPOsKeep proper filing of the purchasing requisitions and LPOs on a monthly basisEnforce the Guest house purchasing procedures as per policy manualAssist in preparation of paymentsMaintenance of proper inventory record in the systemPreparation of inventory variance reportsRegular Stock TakingPetty cash maintenanceReceipts and invoice reconciliationsAny other jobs assigned to him/her Qualifications and requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business administration or Commerce with Finance/Accounting concentrationCPA Part I or its equivalent from a recognized institution.At least 1 years’ experience as an account’s assistantFluency in spoken and written EnglishKnowledge on ERPKnowledge of basic bookkeeping proceduresFamiliarity with finance reporting and regulationsGood math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors.
