Job summary

We are seeking to recruit business development officers (BDOs) who will play a key role in driving business and implementing direct sales strategies in insurance.

Min Qualification: Bachelors Experience Level: Mid level Experience Length: 5 years

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenues and salles targets
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across corporate, SME and retail markets
  • Build strong relationships with business, institutions and individuals
  • Prepare and present tailored insurance proposals and solutions to clients

Client & Portfolio Management
  • Oversee client onboarding renewals and retention strategies
  • Ensure high services standards and resolve client’s escalations effectively

Skills and competence
  • Strong sales negotiations and presentation skills
  • Excellent client relationship and stake holder’s management skills
  • Solid understanding of insurance products and regulatory requirements
  • Competence in IT skills

Personal Attributes
  • Results driven and proactive
  • High integrity and Professionalism
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in insurance sales mainly with brokers |Agents
  • Proven success in achieving sales targets and managing client portfolio

Academic qualification
  • Bachelor Degree in business, insurance, finance or related field
  • Professional insurance certification (e.g. (DIP(IIK) (ACII, CII)
