The Business Manager will be responsible for driving commercial performance, market development, and business growth in Kenya. The successful candidate will lead sales and marketing initiatives, develop market expansion strategies, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.

Job descriptions & requirements

Key Responsibilities.

  • Develop and implement country-specific commercial and sales strategies. 
  • Drive revenue growth through market expansion and portfolio penetration. 
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and pricing dynamics to identify growth opportunities. 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales and marketing teams. 
  • Establish effective sales structures, territory plans, and performance management systems. 
  • Oversee commercial operations, including inventory management, sales force effectiveness, and operational cost control. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, healthcare professionals, key accounts, and industry stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with marketing, regulatory, supply chain, and regional teams to ensure successful execution of business plans. 
  • Support regulatory compliance, product registrations, and promotional approvals in line with local requirements. 

Qualifications.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (BBA) or a related field. 
  • MBA will be an added advantage. 

Experience.

  • 10–12 years of commercial experience within the pharmaceutical industry. 
  • At least 5–6 years in sales management and business leadership roles. 
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and leading high-performing teams.
