About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Designer with hands-on experience in designing high-quality kitchen and wardrobe solutions. The ideal candidate must be proficient in computer-aided design, capable of producing accurate cutting lists, and familiar with a range of cabinet design software.
This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to delivering error-free designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design cabinets, wardrobes, and kitchen layouts using MDF, particleboard, and other materials.
• Create cutting lists and material specifications for production.
• Utilize design software including Cabuilder, Polyboard, Wood Designer, Cutlist Plus, Cabinet Plus, Cabinet Planners, AutoCAD, and Articad to produce detailed designs.
• Ensure designs are accurate, efficient, and free of errors.
• Collaborate with production and installation teams to ensure designs are feasible and practical.
• Maintain records of designs, material usage, and revisions in Excel.
• Review and improve designs based on client feedback and project requirements.
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of cabinet design principles, kitchen and wardrobe layouts.
• Proficiency in cabinet design software and AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce accurate cutting lists and material specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and precision.
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of Excel for design and project tracking.
Qualifications:
• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Wood Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in cabinet or furniture design.
• Experience working with MDF and particleboard materials is required.
Remuneration:
• Salary: KES 40,000 per month
