CHINESE TRANSLATOR-(Construction Industry)
Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chinese Translator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will facilitate effective communication between Chinese-speaking staff and local employees, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
Job descriptions & requirements
Qualifications:
Ø Degree in Languages, Translation, or related field /Proficiency in Mandarin HSK3 and above.
Ø Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English, with clear pronunciation and strong interpretation ability.
Ø At least 1-3 years experience in translation/interpretation (manufacturing environment preferred)
Ø Strong cross-cultural communication and adaptability skills.
Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and meet tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
· Provide accurate verbal interpretation between Mandarin Chinese and English during meetings, site inspections, and daily operations.
· Translate construction-related documents, including contracts, drawings, technical specifications, reports, safety procedures, and correspondence.
· Assist project managers and engineers in communicating with local staff, subcontractors, and suppliers.
· Support negotiations, project coordination meetings, and training sessions through real-time interpretation.
· Ensure translations accurately reflect technical and construction terminology.
· Coordinate communication between Chinese and local teams to ensure smooth project execution.
· Assist with administrative tasks related to project documentation when required.
