Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The Busara Center for Behavioral Economics is an advisory and research organization focused on evaluation and implementation of behavioral interventions in understudied countries and populations. Busara’s mission is to work with researchers and organizations to advance and apply behavioral science in pursuit of poverty alleviation. This involves the application of research and rigorous methods to enable partners to improve program design, evaluate existing programs, and optimize internal processes. To this end, Busara has worked with a variety of organizations in an advisory capacity to apply behavioral insights, build analytical models, and develop new products. In addition, in its research center capacity, Busara operates a Nairobi-based lab capable of implementing advanced experiments in psychology, behavioral economics and other academic disciplines.About The InternshipThe internship duration will be 1 month with the interns located in our Nairobi Office. As an intern, you will work closely with the Manager, Voice and Impact of the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics. You will likely be engaged in the following roles, but you may be asked to contribute to Busara’s work in various other ways;Intern Responsibilities Utilizing the existing templates to update the content on the current pageUpdating the featured images for each post on the websiteUpdating categories, tags, and meta descriptions to ensure accurate and relevant information is displayedPerforming any other website content maintenance tasks as assigned Minimum Requirements Students in their final semester or if graduates, have completed their course within the last 6 monthsHigh level of self-motivation and energy, an optimistic “can-do” attitudeWorking knowledge of using a CMS (content management system) such as wordpressGood writing and editing skillsFlexible, self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a team playerInterest in working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
