About the Role
The Credit Manager will facilitate lending for our clients by assessing credit worthiness and processing relevant paperwork. His/her responsibilities include preparing loan applications, evaluating clients’ financial information and calculating risk ratios. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of lending procedures ,portfolio management , collection strategies and customer service experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advance all Myfugo’s products as per annual targets
2. Ensure strict collections and recoveries are applied in order to avoid losses to the company.
3. Ensure proper risk compliance and adaptation by staff and clients in order to reduce losses.
4. Loan processing: Ensure strict and thorough assessment, documentation and only qualified and viable borrowers are recuited.
5. Client education: Ensure borrowers are educated on Myfugo’s products and financial literacy.
6. Loan book quality: Ensure timely repayments according to company policies, compliance and audit standards.
7. Ensure loans are properly captured and accurate in the Loan Management system
8. Management: Ensure quality management of all Myfugo staff reporting to you and that Myfugo’s HR, Administrative and Loan policies are strictly adhered to.
9. Ensure high quality and timely services to customers.
10. Ensure non-compliance or irregular issues are immediately addressed and escalated to your superiors.
11. Support the company in adopting and achieving regulatory and compliance standards.
12. Perform other functions as assigned to you time to time by the C.E.O.
13. Perform at your highest standards and achieve annual KPIs that shall be discussed and shared with you.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Credit Officer or Credit Manager.
- Hands-on experience with lending procedures and products.
- Ability to create and process financial spreadsheets.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Customer service experience.
Education
Diploma/BSc in Banking and Finance, Economics or related field.
