JOB TITLE: Early childhood developer and Minder
PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The purpose of this position is to be a mentor, developer and minder of four children in the age bracket of eleven years and one and a half years. They are all siblings with a high level of exposure, informed and knowledgeable. The age bracket qualifies the children as being energetic with high level of personal drive.
Basic Requirements
• Should possess Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development (ECD)
• Should be of the age group between 23 year and 35 years of age
• Must be passionate about children’s psychological and physical wellbeing
• Attendance of a First Aid course (certificate level)
• Should be in a position to stay in with the family working 6 days a week and taking one day off weekly.
• Someone who has taken care of her own child before will have added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities –
The successful candidate shall be in charge of the children’s extracurricular activities, school homework, safe playing, discipline, meals supervision, artistic & creative activities
Essential Skills –
• Ability to engage with children of various ages in a friendly but firm manner.
• Good time-management and organizational skills
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage diverse internal and external relationships
• Ability to understand the challenges that small children may possibly encounter in their day to day life.
• Emotional intelligence, coaching and mentorship
• Self-motivated and able to work within both children and adults.
• High professional ethics and integrity
• Communication skills, including the ability to explain things to children clearly, listen to their feedback and offer friendly solutions.
• Firm but Respectful, polite and pleasant demeanour.
