Tomorrow, our girls will become next-generation leaders, disrupting the systems that hold poverty in place.Job PurposeTo be responsible for providing support in petty cash disbursements, tracking and reconciliation of the same as well as maintaining a reliable filing system; and proper authorization and documentation of payments.Location – MombasaReports to – Finance OfficerDepartment: FinanceMonday – Monday-Friday | 8.00 AM – 5.00PMPosition Objectives and Responsibilities Auditing expense reports in SAP system ensuring sufficient information is provided, allocations are correct and amounts are controlled.Follow up all cash advances to ensure they are accounted for within a weekEnsure all expense reports are adequately supported with source documents(attached) and originals filed.Post MPESA payments on SAP ensuring relevant fields are completed for easy reporting and consequently pay via MPESAPerform daily reconciliation of posted transactions verses actual payments from MPESA.Receive and track all project incomesProcess supplier down payments and follow up documentationAid in filing statutory returns.Provide support during annual audits by external auditors. Academic qualification Diploma in Finance or Accounting Professional Qualifications Qualification in Accounting – CPA K is an added advantage Other requirements (unique/job specific) 2 years’ experience in the finance departmentA working understanding of accounting principlesKnowledge of statutory legislation and regulations Functional Skills Documenting factsChecking thingsArticulating informationProducing outputExcellent analytical skills Behavioural Competencies/Attributes: Upholding standardsFollowing proceduresTeam work
