Job Summary:

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulatoryrequirements, and efficient financial management. This role involves budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and strategic financial planning to support business objectives. Additionally, the Financial Controller will play a key role in sourcing funds to support fruit procurement, operational growth, and supply chain sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and regulatory requirements.

Conduct variance analysis and provide financial insights to senior management.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

Monitor budget performance and implement cost-control measures.

Provide recommendations for financial efficiency and profitability.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Ensure adherence to tax laws, financial regulations, and corporate policies.

Coordinate internal and external audits, addressing audit findings promptly.

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

Manage company cash flow to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.

Optimize working capital, credit management, and banking relationships.

Oversee investment strategies and risk management related to financial assets.

Fundraising & Financial Sourcing:

Identify and secure funding sources, including grants, loans, and investment opportunities, to support fruit procurement and business expansion.

Establish and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, investors, and development partners.

Prepare financial proposals and presentations for potential funders.

Develop strategies to attract working capital for sustainable supply chain operations.

Financial Strategy & Advisory:

Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Support business expansion, mergers, acquisitions, and capital investments.

Lead financial modeling and scenario analysis for decision-making.

Team Leadership & Development:

Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering professional growth.

Improve financial systems, policies, and processes for operational efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business strategy.


Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, MBA or

Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

CPA (K) or other relevant professional certification required.

7+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.

Proven experience in fundraising, financial sourcing, and investor relations.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or ERP systems).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
