Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The Kenya Institute of Supplies Examination Board (KISEB) is a body corporate established by the Supplies Practitioners Management (SPM) Act . The Examinations Board is mandated to: prescribe and regulate syllabuses of instruction for professional supplies certification for persons seeking registration under SPM Act; prepare and conduct examinations for persons seeking registration under SPM Act; issue professional qualifying certificates and other awards to candidates who have satisfied the examination requirements.Job purposeIndependently and objectively review organizations’ operations by accessing processes, risk management framework, internal controls and governance structures and make recommendations for improvement.Key responsibilities and duties/Job specifications entail the following: Providing secretariat to the Audit committee;Formulating and coordinate the implementation of internal audit policies, strategies and plans;Review and issue internal audit reports;Conducting special audits and investigations;Setting up and implementing audit systems in accordance with auditing standards;Testing the efficacy of the risk assessment systems;Monitoring and reporting on KISEB overall risk profile;Supporting various departments in risk profiling;Reviewing correctness and accuracy of accounting reports;Providing independent assurance on risk management process on both design and operation; andAssuring on risk control effectiveness, efficiency and adequacy and risk management processes. RequirementsPerson Specifications entail the following: Have a minimum period of ten years relevant work experience five of which should have been on supervisory level;Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management (Finance and Accounting option) or equivalent from a recognized institution;Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management (Finance and Accounting option) or equivalent from a recognized institution;Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (K) or its equivalent qualification;Membership to Institute of Certified Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA), Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) or equivalent in good standing;Proficiency in computer application;Have demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; andFulfill the requirements of Chapter six of the Constitution.
