Head Teacher

Main Responsibilities:

• To ensure high quality education for all its pupils and continue to raise standards of achievement.
• Creating an academic programme for students that meets national standards
• Complete administrative assignments within the specified timeline including registration of candidates.
• Working closely and communicating with students’ parents.
• Coordinating parent-teacher meetings. 
• Secure the commitment of parents and the wider community to the vision and direction of the school through marketing activities.
• Helping to assess students’ needs and development.
• Teaching and ensuring a consistent and continuous school-wide focus on pupils’ achievement, using data and benchmarks to monitor progress in every child’s learning.
• Selecting, training, supporting and assessing staff.
• Conducting performance appraisals to ensure teaching standards are met.
• Providing guidance to staff to help resolve issues with students.
• Monitoring student performance, performing analysis and producing reports.
• Ensuring the safety of all children in the institution.
• Plan and execute educational in-class and outdoor activities and school events.
• Serve as a role model and maintain learner discipline to create a conducive environment for learning.
• Develop and enrich professional skills and knowledge by attending seminars, conferences etc.

Qualifications:

1.      Bachelor’s degree in education

2.      Diploma in Education

3.      TSC Registration

4.      2 years’ work experience

5.      Preferably 35 years and above
