Hospital Accountant – Kisumu

Our client a hospital in Kisumu is seeking to hire a hospital accountant. He/She will be responsible for managing all accounting transactions, managing payables and receivables, and ensuring that hospital certificates, compliance, statutory returns, and tax filing is in order. The ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least CPA-K, and over 5 years of working as an accountant in a hospital. The successful candidate Must be willing to relocate to Kisumu.

Key Requirements: 

• Monthly petty cash checks and reconciliations.
• Ensure the hospital stores, supplies and procurement of commodities is well regulated, accounted for, and maintained.
• Ensuring that hospital certificates, compliance, statutory returns, and tax filing is in order.
• Ensure that all reports from or due to the department are compiled and submitted conclusively, professionally, and timely . 
• Coordination and preparation of monthly payroll.
• Follow up with the banks on payments and monthly bank reconciliations. 
• Payments to suppliers.
• Control of credit limits held by individual and corporate organizations.
• Chasing and collecting receivables.
• Liaising and coordinating with the external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Must be a CPAK holder.
• Must have over 5 years of working as an accountant in a hospital.
• Must have Impeccable integrity, great attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
• Must be willing to relocate to Kisumu.

Monthly Gross Salary: Kes 140,000
