Internal Audit Officer - Readvertisement

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Conducting monthly branch audits.
  

• Visiting groups during branch visits.
• Ensuring operational effectiveness through discussions with the clients.
• Making reports after every branch visit and forwarding the same to the Internal Audit Manager.
• Collecting all necessary evidence from the field to assist in any findings.
• Performing the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations.
• Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts etc.

• Any other duties that may be assigned to you.

Skills & Abilities

• Deep understanding of the concept of process and risk management; and financial institutions and auditing

• Strong decision making, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Strong aptitude for easy and quick learning of audit, analytical, or/and facilitation skills

• Strong working knowledge and ability to use MS Office and other standard software application tools

• Ability to travel at short notice, including travelling overnight

• Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance, or another relevant discipline
  • A professional accounting designation (i.e. – CPA Part II or ACCA) and
  • Must have at least three years’ experience working in the microfinance field
  • Active membership in a relevant professional association
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other standard software application tools
