Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Programs (approx. 75%/30 hours per week)
- Grant & Project Implementation
- Ensure the smooth implementation of Menstrual Health projects in Kenya.
- Conduct AWH and MWK training sessions during single distributions and project-based distributions in Kenya.
- Engage with communities and stakeholders to foster program success.
- Serve as a liaison between the DfG Program Office, the assigned community, and social enterprises.
- Collect and report data related to program activities.
- Prepare narrative, financial (expense), and pictorial reports for distribution activities.
- Conduct kit quality checks and generate local kit sales opportunities.
- Act as a link between the supply chain hub and local communities for kit orders and sales.
- Maintain a professional and respectful working environment with colleagues, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Identify potential risks and implementation challenges and proactively seek solutions in collaboration with DfG Kenya staff and partners.
- Work closely with the Kenya Programs Manager to ensure reliable data and impact
- reporting, addressing donor needs, and ensuring all deliverables are met.
- Support the execution of project deliverables, coordination of project planning, budgeting, and monitoring processes. Admin (Approx. 25% / 10 hours per week.
Admin (approx. 25%/10 hours per week)
- Meet with the Kenya Programs Manager weekly.
- Attend country team meetings.
- Participate in DfG Kenya’s bimonthly staff meetings.
- Contribute content to all DfGK reports and the Kenya newsletter (published monthly or bimonthly as applicable).
Qualifications:
- Tertiary student or recently graduated.
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Community Development, Health Sciences, Social Work, Social Sciences, Public Health, Social and Behavioral Change, or a related field in SRHR and women’s development.
- Must successfully pass the DfG Education and Program Training.
- Proficiency in operating a variety of office equipment and computer applications, especially
- Google Suite products. Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Written and oral fluency in English and at least two local languages of the assigned area.
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time within Kenya.
- Must possess a valid Police Background Check Report.
