Mission To transform the livelihood of the people of Kisumu county on a foundation of integrity through accountable, efficient and effective leadership that invokes participation and pursuit of quality services, for a prosperous county that is a harbor of excellenceRef: KSM/CPSB/9/5/Duties and responsibilities Prepare bodies, specimens for human organs and morgue room to assist pathologistsPlace bodies in the compartment tray of the refrigerator or an autopsy table, using a portable hoist and stretcher.Lays out surgical instruments and laboratory supplies for postmortem examinationsWashes tables, storage trays and instruments, sharpens knives and replaces soiled linens;Records identifying information for morgue files”Release body to authorized person;Closes postmortem incisions using surgical needle and cord:Fill a cranium with plasterPrepare specimens and stain sides;Any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor. Competences: Be a Kenyan CitizenHave a minimum qualification of KCSE or KCPE or equivalentCertificate in Embalming from a recognized institution or experience in hospital mortuary will be an added advantage;Must be mature and able to handle clients effectively;Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the values and principles outlined in Article 70 and of the constitutionHave good interpersonal and communication skills.Have the ability to work under minimal supervisionHave the capacity to work under pressureHave the ability to manage the bereaved effectivelyHave the abili\y to ensure safety and security of the morSue at all times.
