Motor Vehicle Windscreen fitter

Key Responsibilities

1.      Remove damaged windscreens and auto glass safely without causing damage to vehicle bodywork.

2.      Install new windscreens and other auto glass (rear screens, side windows, quarter glass).

3.      Apply appropriate adhesives, sealants, and bonding agents according to manufacturer standards.

4.      Inspect vehicles for structural damage or rust before installation.

5.      Calibrate ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) where applicable.

6.      Ensure proper alignment, sealing, and leak-proof installation.

7.      Provide on-site/mobile fitting services when required.

8.      Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and safe condition.

9.      Follow all safety guidelines and workshop procedures.

10.  Provide excellent customer service and handle client inquiries professionally.

Qualifications & Requirements

i)         Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field (preferred).

ii)       Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in auto glass fitting.

iii)     Knowledge of different vehicle makes and models.

iv)      Experience handling laminated and tempered glass.

v)       Ability to use auto glass tools and calibration equipment.

vi)      Valid Kenyan driving license (preferred).

vii)    Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

viii)  Good communication skills.

Working Conditions

i)       Based in Nairobi with possible travel for mobile fitting services.
