Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in QuickBooks and possess strong analytical skills to support financial operations and provide valuable insights that drive business decisions.

  • Minimum Qualification : Bachelors
  • Experience Level : Senior level
  • Experience Length : 5 years

Job Description/Requirements

1. Financial Recordkeeping:
Recording transactions:
Accurately documenting all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, and other relevant financial activities. 

Maintaining ledgers:
Keeping up-to-date records in general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring accuracy and proper categorization of financial information. 

Reconciling accounts:
Regularly reconciling bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies. 

Financial Reporting:
Preparing P&L reports:
Generating Profit and Loss statements (income statements) to track a company's profitability over time. 

Preparing balance sheets:
Creating balance sheets that provide a snapshot of a company's assets, liabilities, and equity at a specific point in time. 

Preparing financial statements:
Compiling and presenting complete financial statements, including the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement. 

Preparing ad hoc reports:
Generating reports on specific financial areas as needed by management or stakeholders. 

3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assisting with budget preparation: Supporting the development and implementation of budgets for various departments or projects.
  • Analyzing financial data: Reviewing financial information to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Preparing budget forecasts: Estimating future revenue and expenses to help with strategic planning. 
4. Tax Preparation and Compliance:
Preparing tax returns:
Assisting with the preparation and filing of various tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. 

Ensuring regulatory compliance:
Staying up-to-date with accounting standards and regulations to ensure financial statements are accurate and compliant. 

Managing payroll:
Processing payroll, calculating withholdings, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations.

5. Other Duties:
Auditing:
Performing internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.

Financial analysis:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.

Communication:
Communicating financial information to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.
