Payable Accountant – Nairobi

Our client, a leading company in the hospitality/real estate sector, is seeking to recruit a Payable Accountant. The selected candidate will be responsible for handling invoicing, supplier payments and tax filing. He/She will ensure the accuracy, efficiency and compliance of purchase ledger processes. The ideal candidate Must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree, CPA or ACCA qualification and a minimum of two years of relevant experience using QuickBooks.
Key Responsibilities:
Timely processing and payment of supplier invoices and project-related expenses.
Ensuring timely filing and payment of statutory deductions i.e PAYE, NHIF, NSSF and Housing Levy.
Ensuring timely filing and payment of taxes i.e VAT, Withholding Tax and Withholding VAT.
Handling utility payments in a timely manner.
Generating invoices.
Generating payout statements and invoices for homeowners.
Qualifications:
Must have a relevant bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance or any other related Field with CPA or ACCA qualification.
Must have 3 years and above working experience.
Must be Proficient in Quickbooks & Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
