Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is an international organization driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. OUR METHODOLOGY / At GAIN, we believe that no one sector alone can solve the complex problem of malnutrition. We work closely with partners including governments, civil society, businesses, UN agencies, and academic institutions to develop programs that deliver large-scale and locally relevant solutions to malnutrition in more than 30 countries. In recent years we have expanded our approach to reach those on the margins of society, who are often the most excluded, vulnerable and severely malnourished, such as the Dalit community in India who experience oppression because of their caste; adolescent girls; and families affected by emergencies. Key Responsibilities include Acting as the focal point for all administration for the Policy Engagement and Advocacy teamWorking with the Director of Policy, managing their diary and travelSupporting with standard project management administration in accordance with the GAIN’s guidelinesSupporting with the organisation of team meetings and eventsActing as the focal point for policy workshops and retreatsLeading on documentation such as meeting notes and circulating to the relevant stakeholdersSupporting with budget administration and procurement processes including processing approved invoices and expenses. Regularly checking payments and following up on unpaid invoicesPreparing and formatting standard contracts and related documentsOther duties as requested by the Policy and Advocacy Manager About You The post holder will be expected to have administrative experience in a team support role, ideally working in a complex international environment.You will have the ability to work within a matrix structure that will see you communication and collaborating with a wide variety of key internal and external stakeholders.You will be able to manage your time effectively as well as pay attention to detail, as the role will see you involved in high levels of administration and the processing of invoices.A good command of oral and written English will be an important key skill in order to be successful in this role as you will be required to write and submit reports.A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel will be important in the role.An interest in policy work within the international development sector is desirable.Candidates should possess a relevant qualification in business administration, public health, nutrition, public policy, development studies or equivalent experience.
