PROCUREMENT MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work hand in hand with the QS to convert BOQs into procurement plans and schedules
2. Source, negotiate, and procure materials within approved budgets
3. Ensure accuracy in specifications, quantities, and quality
4.  Benchmark supplier rates and secure competitive pricing
5. Track procurement against budgets and flag cost deviations early
6. Coordinate deliveries in line with project sequencing and timelines
7.  Build and manage a reliable supplier network
8. Ensure all materials align with approved designs and site requirements

COMMERCIAL & CONTROL FUNCTIONS

1. Support QS in rate verification and cost validation
2. Align procurement with materials, labour, and margin structures
3.  Prevent cost leakages through poor sourcing or over-ordering
4. Participate in pre-mobilization planning and cost locking
5. Maintain clear records of LPOs, deliveries, and supplier agreements

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

1. Zero major procurement delays affecting site progress
2. Consistent achievement of target or improved procurement rates
3.  High accuracy in orders and specifications
4. Strong coordination across QS, design, and project teams

 REQUIREMENTS

1. Degree/Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction Management, or related field
2. Strong background in a construction company is highly preferred
3.  Added exposure or experience in an interior design or fit-out firm is an advantage
4.  Solid understanding of construction and interior materials
5. Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
6. Ability to work with BOQs, drawings, and specifications

IDEAL PROFILE

• Comes from a construction-driven environment with structured procurement systems
• Understands site realities not just office procurement
• Has practical exposure to interior finishes, joinery, gypsum, tiles, fittings
• Able to work within a fast-paced design-build setup
