Quantity Surveyor

Our client a Container shipping and leasing company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The Quantity Surveyor will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of quantity surveying, cost estimation, and procurement processes. The ideal candidate must have a Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction, engineering, or logistics industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct accurate cost estimates for container acquisition, refurbishment, and maintenance projects.

• Analyze project specifications and requirements to determine cost implications.

• Monitor project costs and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.

• Carry out quantity surveying tasks, including measurement of quantities, preparation of bills of quantities, and cost analysis.

• Ensure precise documentation and records of all surveying activities.

• Assist in the development and management of project budgets.

• Prepare regular budget reports and financial forecasts.

• Ensure that projects adhere to quality standards and specifications.

• Conduct quality inspections and audits as needed.

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, procurement guidelines, and legal requirements.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction, engineering, or logistics industry.

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques, cost estimation, and procurement processes.

• Proficiency in relevant software and tools for cost estimation and project management.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Monthly Gross Salary: Kes 170,000
