Real Estate Research Analyst - Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid: Office and Fieldwork)

1. Market Research and Analysis:

•  Conduct comprehensive market studies, including demand-supply analysis, pricing trends, and competitor profiling in real estate markets.
•  Identify market gaps and opportunities to support strategic decision- making for property development.

2. Field Data Collection:

•  Gather raw data from the field by visiting properties, conducting surveys, and engaging with stakeholders such as residents, local authorities, and businesses.
•  Being creative in ways of gathering the information as it is not always easily available.
•  Ensure accuracy and authenticity of collected data through verification and validation processes.

3. Feasibility Studies:

•  Prepare detailed feasibility studies for real estate projects, including financial modeling, development cost estimation, and return-on-investment analysis.
•  Identify and evaluate regulatory, zoning, and legal constraints impacting potential developments.

4. Reporting and Presentation:

•  Prepare professional, data-driven reports and presentations for clients.
•  Deliver insights and recommendations clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

5. Project Coordination:

•  Liaise with various stakeholders, including clients, government officials, and internal teams, to ensure smooth execution of research and analysis.
•  Manage timelines and deliverables to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

•  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Project Management, Urban Planning, Business, Economics, or related field.
•  Experience: At least 2 years of experience in market research, feasibility studies, or project management within the real estate sector. Experience in land valuation, surveying and construction are a plus.

 Technical Skills:

•  Strong analytical and research skills, including the ability to interpret market data and trends.
•  Proficiency in financial modeling and feasibility analysis.
•  Knowledge of zoning laws, urban planning, and regulatory frameworks in Kenya.
•  Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), MS Project, Google Suite, Google Earth and familiarity with data visualization tools.

Additional Requirements:

•  Must be willing to travel extensively for fieldwork.
•  Own a laptop and be able to start immediately.
•  Flexible to work in-office two days a week and on-site or remotely as required.
