Role Summary;
The main purpose of the role is to provide leadership in the development and implementation of the Company’s Motors business Strategy including product sales, after sales service, and Spare parts.
Responsibilities:
Managerial/Supervisory Responsibilities
a) Provide leadership in the development and implementation of company mid-term and long-term strategy to achieve profitable results of sales, services, and parts
b) Lead the development of comprehensive company policies and procedures that provide guidelines in compliance with the manufacture and company’s standards in service delivery
c) Oversee the implementation of proper cost controls to ensure profitability of the companydivision in sales, service, and parts
d) Champion the performance of the divisions through development of proactive training programs, regular feedback and performance appraisals for the company’s team to promote a culture of high performance
e) Provide leadership in the development and implementation of the company’s budget, to ensure efficient allocation of resources necessary for implementation of company’s strategy, and monitor utilization to ensure efficiency in use of resources that supports the company’s objectives on cost management
f) Develop and lead Company network expansion strategy to support the growth of Company sales and Aftersales throughout the country
g) In conjunction with the Original Equipment Manufacturer, provide suitable product line-up to meet customer demands and market share growth through frequent market study and rightproduct positioning
Operational Responsibilities:
a) Spearhead the design, execution, and follow up on events and promotions that give high profile and appropriate positioning to the right market segments
b) Lead the provision of good quality intelligence to management on the customers’ requirements and company’s ability to meet those needs verses competitors
c) Facilitate effective communication between team and the management for policy dissemination and feedback
d) Promote customer visits and surveys in order to understand the customers’ needs and to create a strong partnership with customers that goes beyond immediate business requirements for customer retention.
e) Supervise the establishment and maintenance of strong partnerships with dealers and support them to ensure dealer achievement of sales and aftersales targets as well as profitable sales and aftersales targets
f) Provide leadership to the company’s team in competitor analysis, competitor impact to the company’s business, as well as in the development of strategies to enhance market share,
g) Keep the company regularly appraised on changes in the business environment, opportunities andchallenges arising from such changes, the response from and where needs support.
h) Overall responsible for promoting a conducive working environment for the team in relation to Environment, Health and safety measures at the workplace and compliance to the KIAZEN policy
i) Carry-out frequent study of Company units in operations to align Aftersales potential – both Parts and Service
j) Guide the aftersales teams to ensure high customer retention for business sustainability
Candidate Requirements
a) Bachelor’s degree in a technical/business related discipline from a recognized institution
b) 10 years of relevant working experience, with 5 years in a management role in an organisation of similar size and complexity.
