Myare Imports & Exports is seeking a results-driven Sales & Operations Manager to lead and scale our FMCG non-alcoholic beverage distribution business in Nairobi. The role combines commercial sales leadership with hands-on operational execution, overseeing route sales, HoReCa accounts, petrol station shops, warehousing coordination, and delivery.

Myare Imports & Exports is seeking a results-driven Sales & Operations Manager to lead and scale our FMCG non-alcoholic beverage distribution business in Nairobi.

The role combines commercial sales leadership with hands-on operational execution, overseeing route sales, HoReCa accounts, petrol station shops, warehousing coordination, and delivery efficiency.

This is a key leadership role with direct impact on revenue growth, cost control, and customer retention.  

6. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports covering:
    • Sales performance
    • Route profitability
    • Customer growth
    • Operational costs
  • Track and report on key KPIs:
    • Cartons sold per route
    • On-time delivery rate
    • Container sell-through time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in:
    • Business Administration
    • Sales & Marketing
    • Supply Chain / Operations Management
  • 5+ years’ experience in FMCG sales and distribution
  • Proven experience managing:
    • Route-to-market sales
    • HoReCa and retail channels
    • Distribution logistics in Nairobi
  • Strong understanding of Nairobi trade areas:
    • Mombasa Road
    • Westlands / Parklands
    • Ngong Road
    • Lang’ata / Karen

Preferred

  • Experience in beverages or fast-moving consumer goods
  • Prior role as:
    • Sales Manager
    • Distribution Manager
    • Operations Manager
  • ERP / inventory systems exposure (basic to intermediate)
  • Valid driving license


KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

  • Monthly sales growth
  • Route efficiency and fuel cost control
  • On-time delivery rate (≥95%)
  • Customer retention and repeat orders
  • Container sell-through period
  • Credit days outstanding
