SALES REPRESENTATIVE (13 POSITIONS)

- Identify potential clients such as schools, universities, training institutes, clinics, and small laboratories
- Actively seek new business through cold calls, walk-ins, referrals, and field visits
- Map out assigned areas (e.g., Ngara, Pangani, Parklands) to build a consistent client pipeline
- Present and explain products to customers in simple, non-technical language
- Recommend suitable products based on customer needs (training will be provided)
- Prepare and share quotations, pricing, and product options
- Upsell and cross-sell related items (e.g., lab equipment, consumables, reagents)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
- Regularly check in with clients to understand restocking needs
- Ensure high customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Receive and process customer orders accurately
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow up on pending orders, deliveries, and payments
- Handle customer complaints or issues and escalate when necessary
- Meet or exceed assigned monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Keep daily records of sales activities (calls, visits, deals closed)
- Provide weekly updates to management on performance and pipeline
- Track competitor activity and market trends in the area
- Conduct regular field visits to clients within and outside Ngara
- Participate in school visits, demos, and promotional activities when required
- Represent the company professionally during all client interactions
- Learn basic product knowledge (names, uses, pricing) through training
- Stay updated on new products and promotions
- Be able to confidently explain product benefits without needing scientific expertise
- Assist in following up on outstanding payments
- Maintain proper records of invoices and receipts when required
- Diploma/Degree in any field
- Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related field
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and target-driven
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email)
