Senior Accountant

We are a firm of accountants, known for providing comprehensive financial services to a diverse and growing client portfolio. We are currently seeking a CPA or ACCA qualified Senior Accountant to join our team. Position: Senior Accountant

Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

Client Portfolio Management:

• Provide comprehensive accountancy support to a varied client portfolio.

• Collaborate closely with senior management to ensure assignments meet expectations, deadlines, and budgets.

• Maintain and review accounting records for clients.

• Prepare statutory accounts, management reports, and corporate tax returns.

Client Relationships and Team Support:

• Liaise with clients to build trusted relationships and actively solve problems.

• Mentor junior staff by offering constructive feedback and identifying training opportunities.

• Identify new service lines and potential clients to support the firm's growth.

• Stay updated with accountancy regulations, sharing knowledge with the team and clients.

Technical Expertise and Development:

• Stay current with industry regulations and best practices.

• Drive your professional development by pursuing training and working towards advancement.

• Champion service excellence and the firm's core values by setting an example as a hands-on Senior Accountant.

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.

• Assist with bookkeeping duties, including profit/loss calculations and analysis.

• Prepare VAT returns and reconcile bank statements.

• Audit financial information and analyse complex incomplete records.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• ACCA or CPA qualification with prior experience within a practice environment.

• Proven track record of supporting a diverse client portfolio.

• Strong knowledge of accountancy systems and Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word, Xero, and QuickBooks

• Excellent communication and advisory skills.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.

• Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.

• Team player with the ability to inspire and support colleagues.
