Job Description: Payroll and Statutory Compliance HR Executive
Position Title: Senior Professional- HR
Location: Bangalore
Reports To: Assistant Director- HR
Job Summary: The Payroll and Statutory Compliance HR Executive is responsible for managing the payroll processes and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. This role involves meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of payroll systems and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of handling sensitive information with confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities: Statutory Compliance: Reporting and Analysis: Process Improvement: Collaboration:

  • Payroll Management:
  • Process and manage the end-to-end payroll cycle, including data collection, validation, and disbursement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Address payroll-related queries and issues from employees promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements related to payroll, including tax filings, social security contributions, and other mandatory deductions.
  • Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and other statutory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports and filings within deadlines.
  • Liaise with government authorities and auditors as required.
  • Generate payroll reports and analytics for management review.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on payroll data analysis.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting payroll expenses.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in payroll and compliance functions.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Work closely with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for payroll-related services.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in human resources
  • Minimum 7-8 years of experience in payroll management and statutory compliance.
  • Candidate with exposure to global compliance is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Oracle).
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
