DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct site assessments for solar PV, solar water heating, solar water pumping, and solar lighting
systems.
2. Size and configure systems based on load requirements, water demand, site conditions, and client needs.
3. Support system costing, technical designs, and proposal preparation with the sales team.
4. Install and commission grid-tied, hybrid, and off-grid solar PV systems.
5. Install solar water heating systems, including collectors, storage tanks, heat pumps, circulation pumps,
controllers, and associated piping.
6. Install solar water pumping systems, including solar modules, controllers, pumps (surface and
submersible), and related accessories.
7. Install and maintain solar lighting systems, including street lights and security lighting solutions.
8. Install mounting structures, modules, inverters, batteries, and other components.
9. Perform DC and AC wiring, terminations, cable routing, and plumbing works where applicable.
10. Install protection devices, distribution boards, isolators, SPDs, and earthing systems in compliance with
standards and codes.
11. Integrate solar systems with existing electrical and water infrastructure where required.
12. Configure and program inverters, controllers, BMS, timers, and monitoring systems.
13. Conduct system testing, verification, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
14. Prepare installation, testing, and commissioning reports.
15. Provide routine maintenance and after-sales technical support.
16. Perform any other related duties as assigned.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of solar PV, solar water heating, solar water pumping, and solar lighting system design,
installation, and maintenance.
a) Solid understanding of electrical wiring, plumbing systems (for solar water heating), and associated
equipment.
b) Ability to read and interpret building plans, electrical schematics, and water system layouts.
c) Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, technical drawings, and installation guidelines.
d) Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools for installation and maintenance of solar and related
systems.
e) Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills across electrical and water-based systems.
f) High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
g) Good time management and ability to work under minimal supervision.
h) Strong teamwork and communication skills.
i) Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to renewable energy and sustainable solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A minimum of a Diploma in Solar energy any related field.
