2. Supply Chain Management Officer: Job Grade - 6
Reports to: Principal Supply Chain Management Officer
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
(i) Assisting in preparing tender documents, requests for proposals, and expression of interests;
(ii) Assisting in preparing of addendums and amendments to Tender Documents;
(iii) Receiving and opening of tenders/quotation documents;
(iv) Participating in the evaluation of tenders/quotations;
(v) Assisting in the preparation of reports;
(vi) Participating in the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans;
(vii) Maintaining records on stores inventory movements;
(viii) Implementing Tender, Procurement and Disposal Committee decisions;
(ix) Undertaking inspection and acceptance of goods, services and works;
(x) Carrying out periodic market price surveys;
(xi) Providing secretarial services to procurement committees;
(xii) Preparing and dispatching of Local Purchase Order (LPO) and Local Service Order (LSO);
(xiii) Participating and conducting periodic and annual stock taking.
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:-
(i) Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Procurementand Supplies Management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
(ii) Be a member of professional body either KISM or CIPS.
(iii) Be proficient in computer applications.
(iv) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
