Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Sales Executive who will play a vital role in providing technical guidance to clients, supporting the sales team in project acquisition, and ensuring proper application of construction products. The role combines on-site client support, product demonstrations, and problem-solving to drive project success, enhance customer satisfaction, and support revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance to clients, contractors, developers, and consultants on product selection and applications.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain technical specifications and benefits.
- Support sales and business development teams during project proposals, tender submissions, and client meetings.
- Advise clients on best practices, compliance standards, and product performance.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and provide technical input.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve technical challenges and ensure correct product application.
- Liaise with production, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery and technical compliance.
- Act as the technical contact for ongoing projects, providing solutions and troubleshooting as needed.
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities within the construction sector.
- Provide technical insights to help secure large commercial projects.
- Support marketing campaigns, product launches, and on-site promotions with technical guidance.
- Maintain records of technical support activities, site visits, and client interactions.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation to support project proposals and delivery.
- Provide updates to management on client needs, project progress, and technical issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Engineering, Commerce Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in technical sales executive preferably in a manufacturing – building materials industry or project-related roles.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction products and applications
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Communication and presentation skills
- Client engagement and relationship management
- Ability to work in the field and on project sites
- Team collaboration with sales, operations, and production teams
