Job SummaryTo provide specialist advice and support relating to underwriting, applying set rules to guard against risk, in alignment with related scheme and policy conditions, through the execution of predefined objectives as per agreed SOPs.Responsibilities Compute competitive quotations in line with the underwriting philosophy and discuss them with clientsUnderwrite general insurancePrint certificates and car stickersCollect background information and assess riskAnalyse statistical data using specialist computer programsPrepare quotes and negotiate the terms with brokers and clientsPrepare insurance policy terms and conditionsLiaise with insurance brokers and customersPrepare regular management reports on production and other relevant reports.Process debits and credits and issue insurance certificatesReceive risk notes and issue policy documentsPrepare and issue renewal noticeRisk profiling on suspect claims to establish under writing gaps.Client relationship management
