About the Role:
Our client, a mid-sized insurance brokerage, is looking for an experienced Underwriting and Customer Retention Officer. This role focuses on assessing medical insurance risk, providing quotes, managing renewals, and ensuring seamless policy administration and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess medical insurance risk and guide clients on suitable policy options.
• Generate quotes and compute premiums for new and renewal policies.
• Negotiate terms with insurers, issue renewal invites, and secure client confirmations.
• Maintain accurate policy records and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Advise clients on claim procedures and follow up with insurers for claim settlement.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients through regular review meetings and excellent service.
• Organize medical education sessions, health talks, and medical camps where applicable.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Diploma in Business-related studies (Degree preferred).
• COP proficiency.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications.
• At least 2 years’ experience in medical insurance underwriting.
