Job summary
The Club Manager / Operations Manager is responsible for leading daily club operations, managing staff, controlling sales and stock, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role drives profitability, service excellence, safety, and growth through strong leadership, discipline, and effective events execution.

The successful candidate must demonstrate practical, hands-on capability in the following areas:
1. End-to-End Club Operations

Proven experience running daily club/bar/lounge operations

Ability to manage opening/closing procedures, shift controls, and service flow

Strong understanding of bar operations, floor supervision, and night-time economy dynamics
2. Staff Leadership & Workforce Control
-
Experience recruiting, training, scheduling, supervising, and disciplining hospitality staff

Ability to enforce SOPs, dress code, service standards, and performance targets

Competence in managing DJs, MCs, promoters, security, and casual staff
3. Financial Controls & Asset Protection
-
Demonstrated ability in daily sales reconciliation (cash, MPESA, POS)

Strong stock control, procurement oversight, wastage management, and theft prevention

Experience preparing daily, weekly, and monthly operational performance reports
4. Customer Experience & Reputation Management

Proven customer service leadership and complaint resolution under pressure

Ability to maintain high service quality, ambience, and brand standards

Experience managing VIPs, corporate clients, and high-traffic nights
5. Compliance, Safety & Risk Management

Working knowledge of liquor licensing, county government requirements, and public health standards

Experience coordinating security teams, crowd control, and incident response

Ability to maintain compliance records, inspection readiness, and risk controls
6. Events, Marketing & Revenue Growth

Proven ability to plan and deliver theme nights, events, and promotions

Experience working with DJs, artists, promoters, and sponsors

Ability to grow customer base, repeat visits, and average spend per customer

Minimum Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field

Minimum 3 years’ experience managing a club, bar, lounge, or hospitality operation
