Room Housekeeper

Key Responsibilities

● Clean and sanitize the guest rooms and common areas to meet hotel quality standards.

● Make beds, change linens, replace used towels, and replenish toiletries and in-room supplies.

● Dust furniture, mop floors, clean mirrors and windows, and disinfect high-touch surfaces.

● Inspect rooms before guest arrival and report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly.

● Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and properly store linens and towels.

● Operate laundry equipment safely and separate items by color and fabric type to prevent damage.

● Inspect linens for stains, tears, or wear and report damaged items.

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area and ensure adequate linen supply for daily turnover.

● Monitor inventory levels, and use cleaning chemicals according to safety standards.

● Greet guests courteously, respond to room-related requests promptly, and maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Skills

● Previous housekeeping  experience preferred.

● Knowledge of cleaning procedures and laundry operations.

● Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently.

● Good time management and organizational skills.

● Physical ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

● Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs.

Salary- Kes. 15,000 net
