FIELD SALES EXECUTIVE – FMCG
Location: Nairobi
Experience Required: 3–5 Years in FMCG / Distribution Sales
Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Field Sales Executive to strengthen market penetration, grow sales, and ensure consistent route-to-market execution across the assigned territory. The ideal candidate is highly accountable, target-focused, and experienced in both General Trade and Modern Trade environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Drive both numeric and weighted distribution across assigned outlets.
- Generate and close orders consistently to meet daily and weekly sales goals.
- Expand the customer base by onboarding new retail, wholesale, and HORECA accounts.
- Implement sales strategies and route plans to maximize market coverage.
- Ensure proper product visibility and adherence to merchandising standards.
- Support in-store activations and promotions to stimulate offtake.
- Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and share insights with the team.
- Submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on:
- Sales performance
- Route coverage
- Customer orders & stock levels
- Market intelligence
- Maintain updated customer records and sales forecasts.
- Use sales tracking tools or templates to document progress and highlight gaps.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, wholesalers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
- Address customer concerns promptly and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Monitor credit terms, ensure compliance, and report any risks.
Territory Management
- Conduct frequent market visits to ensure effective territory coverage.
- Plan and execute route schedules and ensure efficient time management.
- Recommend opportunities for growth and territory expansion.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in FMCG field sales or distribution sales in Kenya.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of route-to-market structures.
- Good command of MS Office and reporting tools.
