We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR assistant to support client HR operations and internal consulting assignments.
Job Purpose: To provide professional HR operational support to client organizations and internal consulting projects, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with best HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Operations & Administration
- Support end-to-end recruitment processes (advertising, shortlisting, interviews coordination).
- Draft employment contracts, JDs, confirmation letters, and HR correspondences.
- Maintain accurate employee records (physical and digital).
- Manage leave tracking and HR documentation systems.
- Support payroll data preparation and statutory compliance documentation.
2. Client Support & Advisory
- Assist in HR audits and HR systems implementation projects.
- Support development of HR policies, procedures, and job descriptions.
- Participate in client meetings and follow-ups.
- Provide frontline HR advisory support to assigned client accounts.
3. Compliance & Employee Relations
- Support disciplinary processes documentation.
- Assist in performance management cycle administration.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and professional HR standards.
4. HR Projects & Reporting
- Prepare HR reports and dashboards for clients.
- Support training coordination and interventions.
- Track KPIs for client HR functions.
- Support implementation of productivity and systems improvement initiatives.
Skills Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in HR operations.
- Good understanding of Kenyan labor laws.
- CHRP qualification (or in progress) is preferred.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy (HRIS, Excel, Google Workspace).
- Professional integrity and confidentiality.
- A self-driven HR professional who takes initiative.
- Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Strong execution ability — not just theory.
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset.
