Duties & Responsibilities
1. Initiate, develop and implement appropriate human resource policies, processes and procedures to ensure best practices, efficiency and responsiveness to both organization strategy and employee needs
2. Designing and implementation of innovative and competitive reward strategies that support the organizational strategy, performance culture and ensures staff retention
3. Managing employee relations including addressing of grievances, disputes as per statutory and company policies and procedures
4. Management and monitoring of staff benefit and employee welfare programs including occupational health and safety.
5. Ensuring the company is compliant with NEMA, KEBS, DOSH, County Government, and the Statutory Audits are carried out as per the law.
6. Develop and implement an effective system for proper and up to date management of staff records in line with acceptable practice and ensure regular audit and update of the same.
7. Ensure pro-active, regular, and relevant communication flow within the HR department and other departments.
8. Facilitation in the recruitment, dismissal and appraisal of staff in liaison with the HODs.
9. Issuing service letters, warning letters, letters of vacation of posts etc. to all casual, seasonal and permanent employees.
10. Ensure timely payroll processing and adherence to statutory requirements.
1. Qualifications & Experience
2. Degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management or any other relevant university degree, CHRP is an added advantage.
3. A minimum of 3 years of HR experience, with at least 3 years of HR experience in a management and in a manufacturing or industrial set up. Tea industry experience will be an advantage.
4. Familiarity with Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007, KEBS standards and regulations.
5. Adherence to HR policy and processes. 6. Accurate and timely payroll.
