Job Description/Requirements

JOB DESCRIPTION
1.    POSITION TITLE
    :    PAL Sales Team Leader
2.    REPORTS TO    :    Head of  PAL

3.    BASIC FUNCTION
This position is responsible for providing leadership to the PAL sales team to ensure sales and profitability growth through the parts dealer customer channel.
The role will also include overall customer relationship management to ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service.

4.    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
a)    Overall team leadership for the PAL sales team.
b)    Sales strategy formulation and execution for the team.
c)    Credit policy management for the team.
d)    Meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
e)    Customer relationship management to ensure customer satisfaction.
f)    Business development – growth of customer base by on-boarding of new customers as well as AX market share growth within existing customer by ensuring cross-selling.
g)    Product information lead and product technical support / training to the sales team
h)    Ensuring customers are updated on AX range of products and offering product trainings.
i)    Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring:
   •    There is continuous customer engagement and feedback
   •    Effective and efficient handling of any customer complaints by undertaking comprehensive root cause analysis.
   •    Suggesting improvements based on the customer feedback & root cause analysis
j)    Market research, competitors and customer surveys, to identify emerging customer and market needs.
k)    Preparation and maintenance of accurate reports

6.    EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
•    Bachelor’s degree in a business related discipline; sales and marketing an added advantage
•    5 years’ experience in a sales position in the automotive industry
•    Good knowledge of automotive products and industry
•    Computer literacy and proficiency in automotive systems
