Resource Mobilization Officer

The Resource Mobilization Officer will provide strategic leadership in securing financial and non-financial resources to advance the organization’s mission and ensure long-term sustainability. The role is responsible for designing and executing innovative fundraising strategies, strengthening donor and partner relationships, and positioning the organization competitively within the funding landscape.

The Officer will work collaboratively across departments to translate program priorities into compelling funding proposals, ensuring technical quality, financial accuracy, and full compliance with donor requirements.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic plan and growth targets
• Proactively identify, analyze, and pursue funding opportunities from bilateral and multilateral donors, foundations, corporate entities, and other development partners
• Lead the preparation of high-quality concept notes, grant proposals, expressions of interest, and partnership frameworks
• Coordinate closely with program and finance teams to develop realistic project designs, budgets, and implementation plans
• Cultivate, manage, and strengthen relationships with donors, strategic partners, and key stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, contractual obligations, and reporting standards
• Maintain an up-to-date funding pipeline, donor database, and tracking system for proposals and grants
• Monitor trends in the donor environment and recommend strategic positioning to enhance competitiveness and funding success rates
• Support the preparation of timely and accurate donor reports, impact briefs, and visibility materials
• Represent the organization at networking forums, partnership meetings, and stakeholder engagements as required
• Through proactive engagement, strategic planning, and high-quality proposal development, the Resource Mobilization Officer will play a central role in strengthening the organization’s financial resilience, expanding partnerships, and maximizing programmatic impact.
