We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Corporate Affairs to join our senior leadership team. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of our corporate reputation, the guardian of our social license to operate, and the strategic bridge between our business objectives and the expectations of our diverse stakeholders.

As the Head of Corporate Affairs, you will define and execute a multi-year strategy that integrates government relations, media strategy, and social impact. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure our brand is respected, our voice is heard in policy discussions, and our community initiatives through the Betika Foundation deliver measurable transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board on emerging reputational risks, political shifts, and stakeholder sensitivities.
- Public Affairs & Advocacy: Build and maintain influential relationships with Government, Regulators, and Industry leaders to proactively shape policy and industry standards.
- Reputation & Crisis Management: Lead the Group’s media relations and own the crisis communication framework, ensuring rapid and effective responses to high-stakes threats.
- Social Impact (ESG): Provide strategic oversight to the Betika Foundation, ensuring our CSR and sustainability initiatives are impactful, well-governed, and aligned with our corporate narrative.
- Internal Alignment: Drive internal communications to ensure our employees are inspired, informed, and culturally aligned with our mission.
- Leadership: Mentor and develop a multi-disciplinary team across PR, Public Affairs, and Community Development.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Law, or Business. A Master’s degree (MBA, Public Policy, or International Relations) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Affairs or Public Policy, with at least 5–7 years in a senior leadership role.
- Sector Expertise: Proven track record in complex regulatory environments (e.g., FinTech, Betting, Banking, or Telecommunications).
- Network: An established network within the Kenyan regulatory and media landscape.
- Professionalism: Membership in a recognized body (e.g., PRSK, MSK, CIPR, or IABC).
