Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Villa Manager, the Villa Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, aesthetic presentation, and hygiene across all exclusive villas, guest rooms, and communal spaces. Operating within a high-end luxury segment, this role requires an eye for detail, absolute discretion, and the ability to deliver a pristine, authentic guest sanctuary that serves as a home away from home for corporate and diplomatic clientele.

Key Responsibilities

1. Luxury Guest Room & Suite Care

● Pristine Room Turn-Down - Clean and service guest bedrooms according to premium boutique hospitality standards, ensuring flawless presentation.

● Premium Linen Management - Change, wash, iron, and perfectly press high-end bed linens and towels. Inspect for any wear, stains, or damage before placing them in rooms.

● Deep Cleaning - Dust and polish fine furniture, fixtures, artwork, and decor with appropriate specialized cleaning agents.

● Bathroom Sanctuary Maintenance - Clean and sanitize luxury bathrooms to a spotless finish, ensuring premium toiletries, plush towels, and amenities are fully and elegantly stocked.

2. Communal & Living Space Curation

● Public Area Upkeep - Maintain the immaculate presentation of shared villa spaces, including lounges, dining areas, verandas, and internal walkways.

● Floor & Fabric Care - Vacuum carpets, polish wooden or tiled flooring, and spot-clean luxury upholstery and drapery.

● Aesthetic Presentation - Ensure cushions are plumped, items are organized, and the overall physical environment reflects a calm, premium luxury aesthetic.

3. Laundry & Wardrobe Services for High-End Guests

● Guest Laundry - Handle personal laundry, dry cleaning coordination, and pressing requests for high-profile diplomatic and corporate guests with maximum care and attention to fabric labels.

● Valet Services - Assist with unpacking or packing guest luggage upon request, maintaining strict professional boundaries and respect for personal property.

4. Inventory, Cost Control & Asset Protection

● Wastage Minimization - Monitor and optimize the use of cleaning chemicals and guest amenities to minimize wastage without compromising luxury standards.

● Stock Tracking - Assist the Villa Manager in tracking housekeeping inventory, linen counts, and stock levels of guest amenities.

● Asset Safeguarding - Treat all villa property, expensive fixtures, and high-end finishes with absolute care to prevent damage or financial loss to the portfolio.

5. Preventive Maintenance Support

● Fault Reporting - Act as the eyes and ears of the villa by identifying and immediately reporting any structural issues, plumbing leaks, broken fixtures, or safety hazards to the Villa Manager for preventive maintenance tracking.

Qualifications & Experience

● Education: Certificate or Diploma in Housekeeping and Laundry Studies, Hospitality Management, or a related hospitality discipline from a recognized training institution.

● Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven hands-on housekeeping experience within a premium boutique hotel, luxury villa cluster, or high-end guest house setup.

● Language Skills: Fluency in English and Swahili is required.

● Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of specialized fabric care, chemical handling safeties, and premium luxury turndown procedures.

● Health & Safety: Valid certificate of good conduct and awareness of premium hospitality safety, hygiene, and security protocols.
