Job summary
The Secretariat Marathon Clerk plays a crucial role in the efficient, timely, and accurate implementation of the registration process for the Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon. This role involves direct engagement with participants, data integrity management, and administrative support to ensure smooth registration and event coordination.
Job descriptions & requirements
Oversee and execute the marathon registration process at designated sites, ensuring
efficiency and accuracy.
● Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all participant registrations; ensure
integrity of runners’ data.
● Provide daily registration reports to the Secretariat Manager.
● Respond promptly to all participant inquiries and serve as a customer service
representative for the marathon.
● Handle administrative tasks such as printing and organizing race kits, bib numbers, and
related documentation.
● Support the preparation and distribution of race materials such as timing chips and
finisher medals.
● Engage with and approach assigned Corporates, Community-Based Organizations,
schools, gyms, and running clubs to encourage group registrations.
Conduct follow-ups and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to increase
marathon sign-ups.
● Assist with pre-race logistics, race kit collection coordination, and post-event
reporting.
● Work collaboratively with volunteers and the Secretariat team to ensure smooth
operations during the marathon registration period.
● Provide front-desk support and act as the face of the marathon at designated
registration centers.
● Support the marathon Secretariat with any other tasks as needed to ensure the
event's success.
