About the Role
Cyber Travel Agency is seeking a highly skilled Senior Travel Consultant to craft complex, personalized itineraries and deliver seamless end-to-end travel experiences for our clients. You’ll leverage your GDS expertise, industry knowledge, and customer-first mindset to drive satisfaction, retention, and revenue.
Core Responsibilities
Client Consultation: Understand client needs, preferences, purpose of travel, and budgets to design tailored domestic and international itineraries and packages.
Booking & Reservations: Arrange flights, accommodations, car rentals, ground transport, and vacation packages using GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).
Expert Travel Advisory: Provide accurate, up-to-date guidance on destinations, visas, passports, airline rules, and relevant travel regulations; stay current on industry developments.
Customer Service Excellence: Deliver proactive support before, during, and after travel; handle changes, cancellations, rebookings, refunds, and emergencies swiftly and professionally.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships that drive repeat business and referrals.
Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure meticulous documentation, fare construction accuracy, and adherence to client and regulatory policies.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Industry Mastery: Deep knowledge of travel products/services and domestic/international regulations (IATA, DOT, TSA). Experience across B2B and B2C travel.
GDS Proficiency: Hands-on expertise with Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with booking/management tools, CRM systems, and MS Office (Word, Excel).
Sales & Communication: Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills; strong written and verbal English.
Analysis & Problem Solving: Able to resolve complex travel issues and propose effective alternatives.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in bookings, documentation, and client communications.
Additional Responsibilities
Mentorship: Train and coach new or junior consultants/interns as needed.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve booking workflows, client onboarding, and after-sales support.
Targets: Meet or exceed sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals.
Certification & Training Requirements (Mandatory)
- Recognized airline ticketing course completed successfully.
- The course must include an airline ticketing module delivered by one of the following:
- IATA
- An IATA Member Airline
- GDS Providers (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo)
Verification: Training certificates must include a QR code for verification or an endorsement letter from the training institution.
Recency: Certification issued within the last 6 months, or candidate must have completed a refresher course.
Note: Work experience alone is not a valid substitute for the required training.
Preferred Experience
- 3–5 years in a travel consultancy/agency environment.
- Experience in corporate travel, leisure travel, and/or group bookings.
- IATA or related travel certifications strongly preferred.
