JOB TITLE: WAITERS/ WAITRESSES(12 POSITIONS)

NATURE OF JOB: FULLTIME

INDUSTRY: HOSPITALITY

SALARY: KSHS. 20,000-22,000

JOB LOCATION: WESTLANDS


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional table service to guests in line with fine dining standards
  • Welcome and seat guests, present menus, and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies)
  • Recommend food and beverages based on customer preferences and knowledge of the menu
  • Take accurate food and drink orders using POS systems
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional, courteous, and timely manner
  • Monitor guests’ dining experience and ensure they are satisfied with food and service
  • Handle any customer complaints with professionalism and escalate when necessary
  • Ensure tables are clean, properly set, and presentable at all times
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accurate and timely service
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards in the service area
  • Process payments accurately and issue receipts
  • Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and team meetings as required


KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Certificate in Food & Beverage Service or Hospitality Management
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-end restaurant with fine dining service
  • Strong knowledge of continental cuisine and alcoholic beverages (wines, spirits, cocktails)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and good grooming standards
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and high level of customer service
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
